  Increase your student’s passion for science and introduce them to some exciting real-world applications of Design Technology and Food Technology with fast cars and traditional Italian food on our STEM Discovery tour to Bologna.

  We visit the factories and museums of Lamborghini and Ferrari, gaining invaluable behind-the-scenes access to the factory floor along the way. At Ferrari, enter the world of the Formula 1 driver with a guided tour of the museum. School groups also have an option of booking a panoramic shuttle bus factory and track tour and a visit to the Red Campus laboratory.

  Afterwards, Food technology takes over with a visit to the Gelato Museum where students will participate in a gelato artisan workshop. During the workshop students will learn how to transform fresh fruit into excellent gelato. After learning the production steps, they will discover how to balance recipes, and will earn the chance to become official assistants to the Gelato University instructors, helping them to make gelato.

Why not complete your itinerary with a pasta making workshop where students will prepare and cook their own evening meal. Or why not provide the tour with a competitive edge with some go-karting?

  The Hostel Combo is well located within walking distance of Bologna’s city centre and provides 4-bedded rooms for students and single rooms for teachers. All rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning and linen and towels is provided. There are study rooms, a spacious garden and wi-fi throughout the building.
