“First Snow” School Ski Racing Championships 2023

Talented students from across England and Scotland showcased their skills at the thrilling “First Snow “ School Ski Races competition in Les Menuires just before Christmas.

  • Junior and Senior school Ski teams took part in a range of categories consisting of Individual Slalom, Team Parallel Slalom and Giant Slalom, students impressed their peers and spectators including Visions reps Silvia, Franck and Andrea.

The event is hosted by Guillaume Marchant and his team at ESI Meribel.

ESI were fantastic, the instructors were attentive and informative and gave specific feedback to pupils for their racing. They were on hand during the races with organisation and coaching points and the pupils really got on well with them.

  • Guillaume was great and always on hand with the information we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. His wit and honesty kept everyone entertained and helped to create a fun and positive atmosphere for the racing teams.

The organisation of the races was incredible, completely smooth and precise with the times appearing on the big screen as the racers completed the course.

And after a hard day training and racing, it was so convenient to head back to our 4-star hotel where hot food, assigned ski lockers and an evening entertainment programme all awaited.

School groups can provisionally reserve their places for the 2024 event now which will take place once again in Les Menuires from 14th-20th December 2024.
