  Choose the second-highest ski resort in Europe for your next school ski trip. Set beneath 4,000 metre peaks, this resort will be sure to impress your students! The high-altitude resort of Les Deux Alpes is home to the Mont de Lans Glacier, Europe’s largest skiable glacier at over 3200m, making this a guaranteed snow sure resort for your school ski trip.

  Unlike in most resorts, where the skiing gets tougher the higher you go, some of the easiest runs here are actually at the top of the mountain, on the Glacier du Mont de Lans. Beginners and intermediates can head up there to enjoy wide, gentle blues.

  School groups have the option of flying into Grenoble (2-hour transfer from airport) or Lyon (3-hour transfer from airport) or the resort is easily reachable by coach (12 hours from Calais).

Ski Information

Les Deux Alpes gives beginners the unique opportunity to ski on a glacier once they’ve mastered the nursery slopes nearer to town, with gentler blues at altitude. Not for the faint-hearted are the ‘Super Diable’, a long steep black run, a unique snow-park and a half-pipe.

• Chalt L’Annapurna

  Ideally located close to the shops and activities of the resort, this chalet is at the foot of the slopes and is an excellent choice for a school group ski trip.

  The chalet has 65 beds with rooms of between 2 and 6 persons, all with private bathrooms.

  Facilities include a bar area, ski storage room, TV room and a restaurant serving buffet style hot meals.
