    Barcelona

Barcelona, the cultural centre of northern Spain, is a beloved school languages trip destination. This bustling, lively, historic city has an excellent range of art museums, fine architecture and historic monuments.

Visiting the capital of Catalonia is fantastic for Spanish A-Level students, as it will help them to understand the diversity of Spain and its autonomous communities.

You’ll explore hidden barrios full of character, treasure-hunt your way around the city’s quieter corners and have the opportunity to prepare some authentic Spanish food in a cookery lesson. Visit the Gothic Quarter, La Boqueria Market & Las Ramblas, Barcelona Port and the Maremagnum Shopping Centre. Observe Spain’s varied architectural styles with a visit to Poble Espanyol, before exploring the rest of the Montjuic area.

From the lively spirit of La Rambla and Boqueria Market to the architectural delights of Gaudi, your students will develop their knowledge of Spanish in a whole new way.
