    Dunkirk

Occupied twice by German troops in the 20th century, this history school trip to Dunkirk brings into focus the themes of Hitler’s foreign policy, the origins of WW2, Britain at war and the development of warfare!

The wartime historic town of Dunkirk has many monuments and museums of the Second World War that offer a wealth of insight and knowledge into this turbulent period of history.

Operation Dynamo, that saw the evacuation of 340,000 allied soldiers to England, is one of the most memorial events that happened in this French harbour town. Many of the historical sites served as shooting locations for the blockbuster “Dunkirk” by Christopher Nolan.
