Normandy
A history school trip to Normandy seeks to bring to life the events of June and July 1944, allowing your students to explore the sites where the events that changed the course of the Second World War took place.
Within easy reach of Calais, we focus on the British and Canadian sectors at Sword, Gold, and Juno Beach with your students learning about the invasion and subsequent building of the temporary harbours – used by the Allies to supply their armies in Europe before they could capture a port in France.
Curriculum Links
Our Normandy History tour itinerary will allow your pupils to see first-hand the beaches, upon which so many sacrifices were made and to reflect on World War Two themes within many GCSE and A-level courses.
