Classical Greece
Take your students to explore one of the oldest cities in the world on your classical studies school trip to Greece!
Classical Athens was a powerful city state and a centre for arts, learning and philosophy. Its’ museums are home to some of the most amazing examples of Archaic and Classical sculpture. The most important civilisation of the ancient world flourished in Athens and can be glimpsed through one of the world’s most formidable edifices – the National Archaeological Museum.
Trace the development of Greek civilisation from the Mycenaean era, through Archaic and Classical to Hellenistic Greece. Your students will return with a greater understanding and appreciation of the Homeric World and Greek tragedy.
