Belfast
Our Politics school tour to Belfast will help your students to deepen their understanding of the Troubles, the Good Friday Agreement and, most importantly, the people involved.
Start your school Politics trip to Belfast with a guided walking tour of the city based on the History of the Troubles, visiting the Shankhill Road and Falls Road. The tour will help your students understand how the Troubles began, who was involved, the effects on the city and its people, and the journey to the active, vibrant city you see today. The walking tour is unbiased, factual, hard-hitting, and very engaging for your students.
Compliment the tour with a visit to the Stormont Parliament Building where your group can participate in a free educational workshop or a mock election.
And if time allows you can enrich your itinerary further by adding a visit to the Titanic Quarter and the Giant’s Causeway.
Curriculum Links
Our school tour to Belfast is most relevant to students of A-Level or AS-Level Politics but may also be of interest to Geography and History students, making it a good cross-curricular school tour option.
