    Barcelona and Costa Brava

A school Geography field trip to Barcelona and the Costa Brava offers your students the chance to conduct a river study, see volcanic scenery and chart the urban regeneration of Barcelona into the thriving city it is today!

The Garrotxa Volcanic Park, just one and a half hours from Barcelona, is ideal for school geography groups to explore and examine the physical issues of geography.

The Tordera river offers your students the opportunity to discover the different processes at work in the different sections of a river valley. And they'll do this by practising field skills including data sampling. The river has a short course and is relatively close to the coast, meaning all the data collection points are within easy reach.

This varied and extensive coastline is home to the vibrant city of Barcelona, a city regenerated by mass tourism and the legacy of the Olympic Games.
