Opal Coast
Just a short Channel Crossing away, the Pas de Calais region is the ideal choice for a Food Technology school trip allowing your students to discover traditional French cuisine.
Your group could visit one of the local markets, to see how important fresh, local produce is to this region, visit a traditional, family-owned bakery to see a master boulanger’s fashioning of croissant dough by hand and learn about the history of the sweet shop and see how the sweets and lollipops are made.
You could even push your students culinary boundaries at either a Snail or Goat’s Cheese Farm followed by a tasting.

There really are lots of exciting food-related activities to choose from here, so you can really tailor your day to meet your specific learning objectives.
