Referred to as the ‘Sunniest Ski Resort in Europe,’ Sierra Nevada defies many concepts associated with skiing. Located barely a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean coast, it has practically guaranteed sunshine, the best Spring snow conditions in Europe, and is still reasonably priced compared to many of its European counterparts.
Sierra Nevada literally means “Snowy Mountain Range”, and it includes some of the highest peaks in Europe, not to mention the highest concentration of peaks over 3,000m in the country.
The Mulhacen at 3,482m is the Iberian Peninsula’s highest. The ski terrain is majestically overlooked by the jagged glacier-formed Veleta peak, at 3,398m, Spain’s third highest after Aneto (3,404m) in the Pyrenees. The Sierra Nevada ski resort offers school groups a wide and ever-expanding range of facilities as well as a ski terrain to suit skiers and boarders of all standards.
A big advantage to school ski groups is the flexibility of the resort - offering 7 days/6 night tours with 5 days skiing, plus 6 days / 5 night tours with 4 days skiing and an Intensive "long weekend" OR "weekday" package offering 5 days / 4 nights and 3 days skiing.

Ski Information
The Fuente del Mirlo Blanco is the centre of apres-ski fun in the snow, an amusement park located in Pradollano, at the end of the slope El Rio. A unique roller coaster, magic carpet, slides... all at 2,100 meters altitude!

The rooms of the Hotel Santa Cruz have the charm of a mountain hotel.
Facilities include: 24h reception, restaurant, snack bar, free wifi, tennis court, billiards, ping pong table, TV room, football field, basketball. The best environment to relax after a full day of skiing.
A daily return shuttle service is provided to the slopes between 09.00am and 17.00pm.

Hotel Montesol Arttyco is located in the popular Sierra Nevada ski resort and has a terrace with spectacular views of the mountains. Rooms at the Montesol Arttyco all have a TV and a private bathroom.
The hotel's buffet restaurant serves international cuisine. The property prepares packed lunches. Facilities include a large common area, space to store ski equipment and a splendid cafeteria with a terrace.
Just 450 meters away is the Parador chairlift that takes you to Plaza de Pradollano.
