Cologne
Cologne is an excellent base for exploring the Rhineland’s science museums including the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) School Lab, a former astronaut training facility and one of Europe's largest and most modern research institutions.
Students can experience a day in the life of an aerospace researcher and learn from DLR scientists and experienced graduate students covering a range of topics including Comet simulation, gravitation biology, solar water purification and microgravity.
Following this full day visit, we head to the high-tech, hands-on Odysseum Science Adventure Park where visitors go on a journey through five themed rooms exploring evolution to cyberspace.
Why not round off your trip with an unforgettable day at Phantasialand, one of Germany’s most popular theme parks, or take a boat tour on the Rhine or take time to visit Cologne’s chocolate museum or the Olympic Sports Museum.
